Cookie Policy

How cookies and similar browser technology are currently used on Pincode API.

Effective date: 23 August 2026

Current cookie position

Pincode API does not currently require non-essential advertising or behavioural-tracking cookies for the core static directory, documentation or browser-based search. The website is designed so that ordinary browsing can work without creating an account.

Essential and security technology

Hosting, CDN or security providers may use cookies, connection identifiers or similar technology when reasonably necessary to deliver pages, protect the service, prevent abuse, balance traffic or maintain security. These technologies are not used by Pincode API to claim a marketing profile of an individual.

Local browser processing

Directory search loads small JSON shards and processes search results in the browser. Search data may be held temporarily in browser memory while the page is open. This is different from placing a long-lived advertising cookie.

Analytics, advertising and future changes

If Pincode API later introduces non-essential analytics, advertising or another technology that requires consent or an opt-out under applicable law, we will update this policy and add the required notice or controls before relying on that technology.

Browser controls

You can use your browser settings to view, block or delete cookies. Blocking essential security cookies, where used by an infrastructure provider, may affect access to parts of the service.
