These Terms of Use apply when you use pincodeapi.in and its public directory, search, documentation and related website pages. By using the website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.
2. About the service
Pincode API provides an independent postal-information directory and API documentation. It is not an official India Post or Government of India website. Postal data is prepared from India Post data, Open Government Data and other publicly available government data sources.
3. Permitted use
You may browse the directory, use the search tools, refer to the documentation and use public information for lawful personal, educational or business purposes, subject to these terms and applicable law. API use is also governed by the API Terms and Abuse Policy.
4. Prohibited use
You must not use the website to break the law, interfere with the service, bypass technical restrictions, distribute malicious code, attempt unauthorised access, overload the service, misrepresent Pincode API as an official government service, or use the service in a way that infringes another person's rights.
5. Automated access
Reasonable indexing by ordinary search engines is allowed subject to robots rules. For application integration, use the documented API instead of placing excessive automated load on HTML pages. Automated activity that threatens availability may be limited or blocked.
6. Postal data and corrections
Postal information can change and source datasets can contain omissions or errors. The website does not guarantee that every record is complete, current or suitable for a particular business decision. If you find a likely error, email support@pincodeapi.in with enough information for us to review it.
7. Intellectual property
The Pincode API name, website design, original explanatory text, software and other original material are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Public postal facts and government data may be subject to their own source terms, licences or public-data conditions. These website terms do not give you ownership of Pincode API branding, software or original content.
8. Third-party services and links
The website may refer to third-party websites, government sources or infrastructure. We do not control third-party content, availability, privacy practices or terms. A link does not by itself mean that Pincode API endorses the third party or that the third party endorses Pincode API.

We may update, correct, suspend or discontinue website features when reasonably necessary. We do not promise uninterrupted availability of the free website or public API. Material public changes may be noted on the Changelog.

This limitation does not apply where liability cannot legally be limited or excluded.

You are responsible for checking information before using it for shipping, compliance, legal, financial, emergency or other decisions where an error could cause material loss or harm. You are also responsible for ensuring that your own use of the website complies with applicable law.
13. Governing law
Unless applicable law requires otherwise, these terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts with competent jurisdiction in India will have jurisdiction over disputes, subject to any mandatory consumer or statutory rights that apply in another forum.
